Food & wine at Pebble Beach  –  April 5 – 8, 2018  –  The picturesque gated community of Pebble Beach Resort is the site of hedonistic Pebble Beach Food & Wine, which offers epicurean events featuring 250 wineries and 100 chefs.

Wine tasting  –  April 7, 2018  –  More than 30 Mendocino wineries and food producers are headed to San Francisco to give you a Taste of Mendocino in the Gallery 308 building at Fort Mason.

Craft fair  –  April 7 – 8, 2018  –  Renegade Craft Fair has indie crafts, artisan food, and workshops in the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center. Repeats in July and Nov. Free.

Cesar Chavez festival  –  April 14, 2018  –  Cesar Chavez Holiday celebrates the life and work of the famous Mexican-American civil rights activist and union organizer with a parade leaving Dolores Park at 11 a.m. and ending at a street fair on 24th Street (from Treat to Bryant). Free.

Japanese festival & parade  –  April 14 – 22, 2018  –  Northern California Cherry Blossom Festivalincludes food booths, performances, martial arts, a pop-culture area, and live bands, plus a 1 p.m. parade Sunday from City Hall to the festival in Japantown. Free.

Waterfront beer festival  –  April 19, 2018  –  SF Maritime Beerfest has unlimited beer tasting, entertainment, food vendors, and views from Pier 45 near the submarine at Pier 45.

Asparagus festival  –  April 20 – 22, 2018  –  San Joaquin Asparagus Festival (formerly Stockton Asparagus Festival) has asparagus dishes to eat, an asparagus parade, a craft fair, a petting zoo, and carnival rides at San Joaquin County Fairgrounds.

Earth Day street fair  –  April 21, 2018   –  Earth Day San Francisco has live music, keynote speakers, organic food vendors, an eco fashion show, and an eco kids’ zone at the Civic Center Plaza. Free.

Chocolate festival  –  April 21 – 22, 2018  –  Watch chocolate-making demonstrations, taste samples, meet the makers, and enjoy wine and beer pairings at the International Chocolate Festival at San Mateo Event Center.

Festival in Sebastopol  –  April 21 – 22, 2018  –  Celebrate the blooming apple trees at Apple Blossom Festival, which includes an old-fashioned parade on Saturday, live blues on Sunday, and a street fair with food and craft vendors both days in Sebastopol.

Bird festival  –  April 27 – 29, 2018  –  Choose from 60 field events, including nature walks and workshops, during Point Reyes Birding & Nature Festival at Point Reyes National Seashore and surrounding counties. Some events sell out early.

Petaluma festival  –  April 28, 2018  –  Petaluma Butter & Egg Days features a noon parade, arts & crafts booths, contests, live music, a beer garden, and a kids’ area in downtown Petaluma. Free.

Berkeley book festival  –  April 28 – 29, 2018  –  Attend a wide variety of author talks and panel discussions at the world-class Bay Area Book Festival, which includes hundreds of exhibitors, a children’s area, and film screenings in downtown Berkeley. Free.
